Travel questions[]
How will attendees get from the airport to the hotel?
- Uber credits will be issued electronically prior to arrival so you can Uber to the hotel.
Where do I get an Uber at LAX?
- Due to construction at LAX, Uber and other ride share services can’t pick you up directly at the terminal. Rides now pick you up at another area of the airport property called LAX-it. You can walk or catch the free shuttle to LAX-it outside of baggage claim on level one. You can learn more here.
Can we arrange car pooling with other attendees to split the cost?
- Yes! Attendees are already self-organizing into groups for Ubers based on their arrival times.
Will meals be provided/reimbursed?
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday dinners are all provided by Fandom at off-site locations. The hotel will provide complimentary breakfast on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, as well as lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
Should I bring a laptop/tablet? Any other suggested items?
- There is no explicit need for a laptop, although you may want one to take notes, etc. As far as other items, keep in mind the hotel has a pool so you might want to bring swimwear. Be sure to bring or buy sunscreen if you’re planning on going to Universal Studios as well.

Where is Community Connect happening?
- Community Connect is at the Sheraton Universal, right by Universal Studios Hollywood. The sessions will be on-site. The address is 333 Universal Hollywood Dr, Universal City, CA 91608.
