"Portability: a Community Connect Town Hall" was a November 2016 interactive broadcast event. It was open to the general FANDOM public.
Topics
Three presentations were given during this two hour portability festival, each followed by a session for questions and answers:
- "Portability, Elements, and Articles" by Isaac Fischer (Slides)
- "Best Practices with Images" by CzechOut (Slides)
- "Looking Forward: Portability and Mobile" by Stuart Robbins (TwoTailedFox), co-authored by Cyanide3 of Vanguard (Slides)
These presentations were geared towards editors with novice-to-moderate templating skills, with some insights for more advanced users. We also talked about how Vanguard helps communities be more portable and futureproof.
Finally, the event concluded with an Ask Me Anything style roundtable, where the presenters and special guests answered attendees' portability-related questions.
